Been meaning to set this tank up for a while now. Little 2 footer on my desk that
I’ve been planning on converting into a little slice of a creek for some of my favourite natives, and I’ve finally gotten around to doing so.
Now the tank is not a true biotope. The one plant species I’ve used (Pygmy chain sword) is not native to teewah creek nor is it native to Australia, but I figured it’s a decent substitute for some of the uticularia that are found in teewah and other creeks round tin can bay.
It’s not finished. Still doesn’t have fish or botanicals, but I’ve got to go and collect some casuarinas and banksias before I can
call it quits.
Once the botanicals are in I’ll introduce the fish, honey blue eyes (pseudomugil mellis) and teewah creek local ornate rainbows (rhadinocentrus ornatus)
Forgot to take any pics setting up the tank but here are pics of it semi-dry
And full of water
