Spanish is the only language I'd try learning. I hear spanish almost half the time in my home since my wife is spanish and our 3 older girls speak it, our son is learning now. I understand enough to get by but I always reply in english lol.

As an American I speak our version of English. Now living in the Philippines I am learning one of the 100+ languages here. Where I live Basaya is the common language used besides English. There are time I hear my girlfriend talking to family and wonder how ill ever learn it....

That's weird, i an always told the more you hear a language daily the faster and easier it becomes to learn it, but i guess not!? Try watching some Spanish shows with english subtitles, thats how i am learning japanese LOL.

What the heck, 100+ languages!!! I knew Asian countries usually have more than one language but more than 100?, thats insane!
BTW i suggest learning Basaya quick, since you do not know what your GF is saying about you......😉
I need French for work - I’m actually off to Paris for a week starting tomorrow! I go there semi-often.
So you can speak French? I have never been to France, what are the people like there? Is english a common language there
Please do share some pics while you are there!
