Onto my 3rd spawn from my black nasty pair.
1st spawn - the female ate the fry at the wriggler stage.
2nd spawn now 3 months old and approximately 2" growing well. Probably 100-120 juveniles. Note I started feeding brine when they were about 1" and lost about 20 or so over a few days, stopped feeding brine and haven't lost a single one since.
3rd spawn now a month old and still with the parents. Biggest spawn by a long way, at a guess approximately 300 fry at about 1/2". Noted that this batch are feeding off the slime coat of both parents. Will move this batch of fry shortly as they are starting to cause damage to the sides of the parents and under their chins for some reason.
All in all, they are great parents bar the female eating the first batch, the parents show no aggression at all towards each other.
