Everything is now done so just waiting for my 18 (4"-5") Moba and 18 phenochilus star sapphire, which I expect to receive at end of the month. I have seeded media in the sump and also using Seachem Stability, dosing with ammonia. Water is currently cloudy-white which looks to me like a mini-cycle happening.

I used to have 3M and 3F star sapphire with 12 Moba in my 450gal and I agree there's nothing like the male star sapphire once they take on their adult colors. Absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately I will need to grow out these 18 star sapphire for some time in my 180gal before putting them in with the Frontosa since they are currently around 2".

Some more pics. My 13yr old son, who is 5'2", is helping me out again in the bottom picture for size comparison. Tank seems to be cycling well, after each day dosing ammonia it is gone by the following day and nitrate is increasing. I'm sure I'll be ready for the fish when they arrive in around two weeks.

I love Blue Zaire Fronts. So stunning. Love Pheno’s as well, but my no. 1 pheno is Mdoka white lips. Their blue body and white lips really compliment Zaire’s color wise.

Looking forward to seeing the final result mate!

This is my gibberosa “Mikula” male. Last of my group sadly…my sapphire is just chipping up
