HUGE Aquarium Market in Guangzhou

Hi all. I’ve been living in south China the last 15 years. During that time, the market has moved and upgraded. I used to see suspiciously rare (wild caught) turtles and tortoises, crocodiles etc as well as huge dogs such as Tibetan mastiffs (now restricted) - over the years it has cleaned up its act. The majority of the shops are now housed within a mall complex (partially burned down a few months ago but it’s back and thriving now).
I’ve been documenting this place for years - hopefully I still have old footage on a hard drive somewhere. For now, hope you enjoy my recent videos on this crazy place:

Invasive armored catfish everywhere…and snakeheads.
I’ve been microfishing and discovered some very rare fish such as white cloud mountain minnows, but obviously put them back immediately as they’re critically endangered…here’s a pic from my iNaturalist:

as well as many caridina shrimp…

as for monsters - snakeheads. Everywhere!
