… 2 lake tanganyika congicus in there already that quickly became my favorites. I do want some cogo congies as well tho. As for the water level, ive always kept cats, gar, knives, rays, lungs and other air breathers, air gulpers or jumpers. Gives the fish a bit of an air gap and also gives them room to jump before just smashing a lid immediatly. It also relieves a bit of pressure on my older acrylic tanks.I keep weights on all my tank lids also. Every type of fish comes up to roll for air. Its inevitable they’ll smash a lid or try and bail eventually. My CK’s have the same amt of room around 3-4” at the top. I can still hear them hitting the lids at night lol… id rather have a bit of cushion to give the fish room and less chance of injuring them selves or bailing out.
… any free time for me lately is spent making lures and chasing esox this time of year. Havent found any good females yet. Any day now hopefully

… the crew is still coming around. Not a great interest in food yet but ive been mean moving them and also introducing new pellet brands on top of it. Fingers crossed for them to start slamming down again soon here. Sure do look small in their new quarters. Darkening up maybe a bit too much now as well. Might have to change the BKG.
