My bass Theo bit me today. And it hurt.
Now I know what her mate Luther was going through before he died.
But Theo lets me pet her everyday. She is just getting extremely rambunctious. Her appetite increases daily. She is 6.5 years old. Think her eyesight may be going a bit.

Maybe we should start a fish bite thread. What kind of fish bit you?

An aggressive breed. I am sure Theo saw a flash of something going in the tank. With here it's all about food.
I was swishing some flake with the eartheater and then bam. She crossed the tank full speed. Bass only have vestigial teeth so it was the combination of speed and teeth.

Indeed with Casper is was pure territory invasion.
It's funny after a year or so of netting him to clean the tank he got to a point where he just swam into the net"Get this over with".

Jexnell Jexnell in Australian rugby when a player gets carded & sent off for a period time, the place they're sent to wait it out is called "the sin bin" LOL. Your "in tank net" for maintenance reminded me of that 😂

I need to start taking pictures of when my fish attack/bite me
I had a 12in Male Gold Barred Midas who got me a few times he was in a bare tank just sand no decorations that's when i learned about attaching a cut off broom stick zip tied to my python to make it longer He drew blood maybe like 5-6 times it hurts but i think it seems to hurt more because it scares you and your like "this MF just bit me.
Now i have a 10in Midas and this guy is just bat chit crazy my python has deep scratches from him attacking it i have a few clay pots in the tank that i need to move to vacuum around and that is usually when he gets me i got mad once and chased him with the python never noticed how strong a fish is until you play tug a war with it.
I almost quit the hobby because he is so frustrating during WCs
