Hobby Brine Shrimp hatchery

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just got one of these for Christmas as an activity to do with the kids. It was easy and simple. My only question is do you keep light on it for 24 to 48 hours? I did the first day and night as per the instructions but it seems unnecessary unless I'm missing something. Won't they still hatch in the dark and you can turn the light on like half an hour before pulling the collection cup?

Wanted to share some info of my 1+ year experience so far with the Hobby Brine Shrimp hatchery.
The eggs have hatching daily room temperature 68 degrees.
I've learned how to measure enough eggs for a day. I rotate 2 hatchery 's.
