2024 marineland 40breeder tempered?

Trying to figure out if the 2024 40 breeders from marineland are tempered on every panel or just the bottom. Has anyone drilled one from last year?

Tried my polarized glasses and i cant tell. Waiting to hear back from the company but im ready to send it lol… Thanks

That's the thing with tank manufacturers. They use what glass they can get, be it normal, be it tempered. It just depends on availability. So it can very from tank to tank what panels are tempered and what are not.

I figured they’d at least be consistent for a year, but that makes sense. I guess ill have to try and inspect the panels a bit harder with polarized glasses on or just pucker up and drill lol..

There is also a way to test with your cell phone, I don't know of it exactly but heard it mentioned here many times.

Just youtubed it … apparently u need both the glasses and a white screen on ur phone or a computer. Place the white screen on one side and use ur glasses on the other. I thought u had to wear the glasses . You just hold them out in front of you and turn them back and fourth. They turn black for reg glass and not black for tempered. Surprisingly cheaper glasses work better also my nicer fishing glasses just turned blue or green with their colored lenses. Have a cheap pair that turned black tho.
