I currently have a pair of healthy 6 year old leopard geckos in a 10 gallon that have been producing eggs regularly for the past 5 years. The only reason I don't have any babies is because I haven't been able to incubate them properly, but I now have an egg ready to hatch probably this weekend sitting in my incubator.
Look into tarantulas. A 10 gal is perfect for many species. You won't be sorry. Some need only the care of a house-plant and are absolutely stunning (IMO). Really fascinating behaviors & the feeding responses are a sight to see. PM me & I can give you loads of info. I'm a mod on a T forum. These are mine: http://www.pentrenchant.com/spiders/

Wow, thats pretty cramped. You should really pick up a 20 gallon long for a pair. Thats what my pair has been in for 15 years. And I've hatched lots of babies from these two. I'm actually going to upgrade their tank to a 30 gallon long pretty soon.
Nothing against your opinion on the matter, but that's just the way I've kept them. I have 3 pairs that are perfectly healthy, except for one of my females who went on a hunger strike, but she's recovering. She's in a 20 with a male. Just out of curiosity, what morphs do you have?
Well at one point I had 5 breeding pairs but I sold 4 of them and still have my original pair. My male is a wild type and my female is a high yellow. When I bred them you didn't have as many fancy pattern as you do today. My other pairs were made up of high yellows and jungles.
I don't have any pics of mine, but I currently have 4 wild types and 2 carrothead carrottail tangerine tremper albinos that are het for APTOR and 66% het for RAPTOR. It's amazing how many morphs of these little critters have been made throughout the years. Ron Tremper comes out with atleast 2 new morphs every year.
So, Connor0729 do you know what you want for your 10 gallon yet?
I plan on sexing the two, three month old babies above really soon. When the next Hamburg reptile show is in the area, I will be buying them each a mate. I was looking at getting tangerine.
Lol, I probably could have determined what sex they were a month ago, I just don't handle them that much. I usually wait till their at least a month old. You can put them in some sort of transparent container and hold them up to a light. Or hold them in your hand and quickly turn them over. But I don't like to hold them at that age because they're quite fragile. And yes, the bigger they are, the easier the sexes are to tell apart.
