Just to give some reference points, the crocodile skull is over a foot long. I also have what seems to be a bredding pair. The male has no hump yet, but the female is carrying lots of eggs and they are protecting their area.

whoa! This thread is amazing, I spent the better part of today lookin at this, and the failed threads (lol). What a great day I had at work today!!!! This tank is amazing. I cannot wait to build my own tank. At first I was going to build where I am at, but it is an apartment, and until I find a design for a colapsable aquarium, I probly wont, although I still may. I was considering wood fram with a liner, that way it would be movable, albeit a pain in the posterior, but the liner could just be replaced if I were to move.
Well now that you are very experienced, what advice can you give, anything you'd do different. Your pics are great and a very detailed story, I hope you continue to update pics from time to time.

I think I may be a few days away from a spawn. If you look at the pics on this page you will see the pair defending the stumps in the middle. This has been going on for a little over a week. The female seems very swollen in the stomach.
