12"+ Red Devil price?

I am curious... How much is a reasonable price for a very large Red Devil?

I am wondering if it would be worth my time to aquire and sell them...

I have no interest in keeping them as pets, but I am able to obtain them.

with any big, common cichilid price is usually relative -- some lfs w/ a lot of room for big fish and that specializes in big fish might try and sell it for more money say 50-75$, however some stores see large fish as a nusiance and try to get rid of them for cheap, and will only take large specimins for free (or you might have more luck selling on a forum like this one to hobbyists who are into big fish)

I second to that. I've seen them for around $50.00. I gave my RD to my friend at PETCO because no one else would take it.

keeping fish for a profit is almost impossible, unless you become an importer. I suppose if you could find a pair of something rare and breed you could pick up some change, but even pure bred labiatum do not go for much

My LFS just offered me their's for $6.88. 12+"

This one LFS has this 180+ gallon tank with a bunch of Devils in there, asking $75. The store is over priced but the fish are always healthy and great looking.

The only way I'd buy another Devil was if I had a tank-full of fish that I didn't want anymore.

Shark Aquarium has large RDs for $100, other lfs i have seen upwards of $75 for really big ones

If the lfs dosen't have much room they will be more than happy to unload it in my experience
