I'd get a cabinet or something that fits the aesthetics, put you a canister filter in it and place it beside your tank so you could run the hoses.
and tbh, trading an AC110 for a 407 would probably hurt you. The AC110 has pretty damn good GPH. I got one and an FX2 on my 150G. (I bought the FX2 before I knew the GPH on the box is a lie)

I like this idea better for a 125gal. When my two Oscars grew past 10" in my 180gal things were starting to get too cramped for my liking, so I moved them to my 450gal. Now they are both over 12" and I couldn't imagine them both still in the smaller tank.
