That bass looks great. I lost a good sized one a few months ago, it was easily the most personable fish I'd ever had. I could hand feed it and bring it to the top of the tank, no fear of humans. To top it off, I got it for free at work. I've been doing native tanks for a few years but the bass was by far my favorite. However, my pumpkinseed isn't so bad either. So much color and personality and they're in the backyards of so many people who never give them a second thought!

Great aquascaping too, I'm certainly jealous.

wow, nice tank. I was reading your thread, and saw your post about the 2250 tank, and that pretty much defines the tank I built... tire and all. I call it my white trash tank. It's got my fav. fish in it.. Bluegill. I had some chubs, but Frank (the bluegill) chased them out. I, unlike you, really love planted tanks, and so I have real plants, and I am planning on puttin in a couple crawdads to clean the bottom up, even though not many worms get by frank uneaten. I think you should put some in your tank. I have one in a different tank of mine, and they are very entertaining to watch. - Just an Idea. You have a killer tank and I'm very jealous.

nah none of them, i don't want them pinching and messing around with the fish in there (which they would, specially at night) and if they were small then they would just get eaten, not putting any of those in there

I've had crayfish in various tanks with natives and had no real problems with them harassing the fish. I gave them adequate hiding spots and everyone seemed to live in harmony. I also kept the crayfish fed regularly, which could be why everyone was so happy. I also had crayfish that were lab-reared, and not WC or raised as feeders, maybe that makes a difference.

But I know those bass love a little crayfish snack! haha
