And yeah I wasn't too thrilled about it until after I saw the original sump was defective in a way I wouldn't have known about until it was way too late. So, in the end it worked out for the best.
Great build, I just wanted to know if you sealed the inside of the plywood with anything other than pond armor??

I see you added a drain.... Might as well add a drip system. If you use warm and cold on the drip you can heat the tank with warm water.... ;)

If you ever get interested in upgrading the mechanical filtering side of things..... look into the mechanical pads that Aquatic eco systems offer. I switched from similar blue bonded pads to a 3 stage set up (course foam, medium, fine pads) and results were pretty evident first time I rinsed the scrubbies....

That room looks like it could house a nice DIY Bio- Reactor as well...... LOL That way we get to see you build some more stuff....... :)
