Someone say shortbodied paroon? Maybe not! You guys will get some more pics tomorrow! Sanding is priority tomorrow! After I clean a tank or 10, and give plasma!

have you looked into a heatmore to heat your pond? it could heat your pond, house and the dead space in your garage no problem. people use them to keep inground pools at 90 degrees year round in cold climates. im planning to get one to heat my house, garage, hot water heater, indoor and outdoor ponds. kind of costly initialy but they save you in the long run.

Takes too much time to do a pic a post. I don't even have a cord to download pics from my camera anymore or you guys would get some pics probably at least every other day.

Hopefully my rtc will be about the size of this guy one day! There's a pic of what the big boy might look like from the side, and a pic of how I hope my niger turns out eventually!

Don't want you guys to wait all night for pics, so don't wait up! I'll post them up tomorrow sometime. Don't feel like downloading and croping, ect tonight. I sanded a ton today on the front. Still gonna take a whole lot more sanding if I hope to stain this thing during the weekend. I bought some hardner for the resin that I have sitting in the garage as I lost the other hardner. I cut the seam tape for the fiberglassing today. There are 12 strips cut total. 4 of them are a little over 3' in length, 4 of them are a little over 8' in length, and 4 of them are a little over 17' in length. So I still have around 40' left or so. Gonna use that to do all verticle seams where the plywood meets each other. I'm focusing on getting all seams and holes covered so that I can just have the tank ready to seal up when I have the money. So basically this thing will be winding down in a very fast way if I have it my way. The only thing standing in the way is money of course! Going to plot out where the pipes will be and cut the holes tomorrow morning maybe.

Sorry for your loss! Always sad to hear of such a huge monster going. Hope I can get my lil guy to eat soon. So far I haven't confirmed him eating anything, and this thing always looks dead during the day. Doesn't move any, unless you push it with your hand. Have to look really hard at the gill covers to see him breathing. I think he moved like 6" today. That's the most I've seen yet. lol. :D Thanks for the compliments.

Pics after my camera charges, I download the pics and crop them. I routed some on the tank. There's still plenty more routing to do on it. I routed the top edge on the front, and also routed the first two windows on the left. Just using a rounded corner bit. Sanded for a few hours also. lol. It's still got a ton of sanding to go on the outside. I guess if you want it to look nice you go all out right. Still need to fill about 1000 screw holes on the inside and outside of the tank. Anyone think I need to fill then ones on the inside or would the blue max fill it in good? Gonna fill them anyway, but I'm curious! Might have to get one more tub of wood putty to finish up with, but that should do it. Going to move the jau so that I can do some finish work on that end of the tank. His pond sits right beside the tank and is kind of in the way. I'm gonna put him by the big boy's pond out of the way. Need to slide the big tank into it's final position somehow!!! It's very unbudgable right now lol. Going to take everything out of it and off of it this weekend to make it light as possible and try to get a few guys and see if we can slide it some. Hoping to move it around 15" to the left or my filtration idea won't work because there won't be enough room for it on the right of the tank! Think around 4 guys can slide this thing? lol Might try to hook up a come along somehow instead. Also need to finish sanding this thing so that I can get the garage nice and clean for coating it. Don't want a ton of dust getting into everything. Going to open the garage door and borrow someone's air tank so that I can blow it out!!! I also put some more ply around the right side, but didn't take pics of that.

You're still planning on using the Bluemax? Just in case you didn't see it..my last post on that other bluemax thread--

Something didn't feel right, so I called Ames one last time. THis time I phrased my question as: I wanna use the bluemax to seal a hole in the pond where the seams of the bluemax patch will be completely under the water line. Can I trust the adhesion of the product in this scenario? Wayne finally said he wouldn't trust it under that circumstance with seams under the waterline.

So any exposed seams to the water is/might be vulnerable. This would include windows unless you're going to seal to the bluemax using something else. I would just be worried about this crap separating after the tank is setup and having to take it all back down again and then have to scrape massive sq ft of crap out.
