Thanks. The top corners and the back middle are going to be access ports. The loops are actually going to be cabinet handles more than likely. I'm not wanting to climb inside everytime something needs scooped out so I figure access ports in each corner, and in the middle. Mostly for maintenance purposes.zennzzo;2229798; said:What's on the top corners?...and welcome back been looking foward to these updates...
Nope. Top will be securely attached!kendog1;2229816; said:looks to me like they are hook eyes maybee to lift off the top?????
THanks, and the stocklist will be as follows:polish;2229836; said:That thing is so bad ass. I look forward to seeing it completed. What is the stock list so far?

I had a similar idea a while back to use clear pvc pipes to run a hampster maze into the center of a fishtank that also looped through the top, and putting in a push button control so that the fish could feed the hampsters. I'm not that talented though, and thought it would be hard to clean.huebyone;2230331; said:maybe put a 55 gal tank in there upside down so it stays full of air. itd be kinda funny, i dont know what the pupose would be, but it would be funny. looks nice so far
Thanks again everyone. Goin to catch up on a lil sleep!RedDevilDon2005;2230440; said:lookin good brother
and if you ever get tired of the Hampster... you can reverse the switch to eject the rodent into the tank and feed the fishnecrocanis;2231147; said:I had a similar idea a while back to use clear pvc pipes to run a hampster maze into the center of a fishtank that also looped through the top, and putting in a push button control so that the fish could feed the hampsters. i was just thinking the same thing about the hamster. But seriously, mamster's wellbeing aside, i wonder if there would be benefits/merits of feeding rodents to catfishes.basslover34;2231823; said:and if you ever get tired of the Hampster... you can reverse the switch to eject the rodent into the tank and feed the fish
Nice progress Pal, You didn't disappoint while I was away... really got alot done!!
I'll keep that in mind. Not as good of progress as I wanted, but hey I'm glad I got to do anything! Welcome back!!!basslover34;2231823; said:and if you ever get tired of the Hampster... you can reverse the switch to eject the rodent into the tank and feed the fish

I don't think it's worth it personally. A friend of mine fed my former rtc a rat while I was gone on vacation a long time ago. About three days later I had a mess of bones and fur to clean out of my tank and filters. Stinks pretty bad.ctoychik;2231894; said:i was just thinking the same thing about the hamster. Awesome, that is going to be a nice setup. Everyone should have plenty of room to live happy.necrocanis;2231147; said:THanks, and the stocklist will be as follows:
1 RTC x TSN 38"
1 RTC 28"
1 RTC x Marble catfish 22"
3 TSN 20", 24", and 28"
1 albino channel catfish 26"
1 pleco 20"
5 oscars 10-14"
1 Jag cichlid 14"
That's the initial list, and I plan on adding a fish per week to let the bioload adjust accordingly. The oscars will probably go in first since they are the smallest. That way they can set up their territories before the big boys go in. Later I will also add
1 Jau (Zungaro zungaro)
1 Piraiba (Brachyplatystoma filamentosum)
2 Irridescent sharks
2 Pangasius sharks
1 Chinese blackfin shark
Trying hard to come accross some baby blue catfish, and flathead catfish so that I can have a few more natives in it. Might possibly try a frt, and eventually a large ray of some sort. I don't wont anyone to feel left out. Some royal clown knifes are possible. There are so many fish I could keep I just don't want to go overboard, but probably will, and already have a 1500 gal growout planned for after this, along with a 450 gal growout. That would give me a 210 gal for the house, 450, 1500, and 4000 for the garage. about 6100 gals without filtration included. What do you think? Can you tell I am a catfish guy?
