I think if I'm still in this house next spring I'll have to build something at least 500gal to house some of my growing monsters. Guess I better try my best to make it moveable!

Yeah, I already have a 500-650 gal, and a 1000-1800 gal build being planned right now. That is after the garage is heated and plumbed. Going to build a utility room onto the garage as my next diy. I'll let someone else do the concrete and run the drain and water lines, but I'll put up the walls, siding, roofing, sink, hot water heater, ect. My absolute dream tank is 25-30,000 gals though, and hope to one day make it a reality
I'm making this out of wood on purpose. I plan on it being relatively lightweight, and moveable. That is even if I have to move it half at a time. But it will be 1.5" from the ground two fold reasoning. One so that moisture can evaporate once underneath, and two so that a forklift can get up underneath it to coerce it out of the garage if need be. Then I'll need a crane or 30 strong men(or women if they are up to it). Moving my pond which is enclosed in a 7'x7'x2' box full of insulation and completely waterlogged at the time took 8 men half an hour to move 25' to the bed of a truck. That was the heaviest thing I've ever lifted! At least most akward!zennzzo;2318625; said:
Oh, and here are some pics. I just put up some more of the top inside frame which now makes the tank completely connected all the way around. I just need to finish the last wall still, but I've left it open as a small doorway, but now it's pretty much useless so I'll enclose it sometime soon. So now I am a few dozen screws closer to being finished. So that you guys don't have to dig back ten pages(litterally) I've reposted one of the pics for comparison. That's how it started today, and the rest are where I'm at now! Enjoy!
I like it looking great Necro. I havent spent as much time on here recently as I would like as I am getting married in a little over a month so fishkeeping has had to lose some of its focus. I did get a few new interesting plecos but I want your tank.
Yeah. I'm about to do another rescue soon. Going to be getting another 14" oscar three plecos 10" 14" and 16" and a jack dempsy, plus various small fish. The owner was just going to dump them all in the river.
