Just looking for input. I've had salt tanks, brackish, and freshwater tanks, however, I was wonder what you guys think about a 180 gallon strickly grouper tank . I had one before with a Panther Grouper, Blue Line Grouper, and a Miniatus Grouper. They were in a 60 gallon tank and it worked okay while they were small, but as they got bigger it didn't work so well. Anyway, I was thinking about a 180 gallon with lots of live rock for caves etc.... I would like the same species with maybe one more grouper in the tank. What do you guys think????

Heh , good luck , ive tryed this , 200 gallon grouper , man do they like to fight, best way to make it happen is grow them small , you get a grouper 6inch plus your screwed, my bumblebee ate all my fish , he was 2 ft of course but they all fought for territory Please excuse the spelling , Bumblebee, miniatius , argus, potato, blueline, and white spotted. all expensive meals and killings

Grouper tanks are usually not going to work even if they are okay when there young there natural instincts will kick in and your prized groupers will be all beat up and stressed better to pick something like a grouper and some proper tank mates is do your research look up information on each grouper fish they get along with good tank setup's and proper diet's. This will protect your investments and bring you joy of keeping them as well as relaxing after work watching them behave naturally.
