180 tank double stand?

maybe so.

but if it isn't built right or reinforced properly it may come down with that much weight.

thats like parking two cars stacked on top of one another on a wooden stand in your living room..

I would not trust the same construction used on normal small stands for that kind of weight.
 
I'd say start building the stand as a cabinant and use 4x4s with deckscrews and reinforce it with brackets. If plywood can stand up to 600 gallons of water, I don't see why you can hold that many tanks.
 
Alright, I didnt expect this many responses, but it sounds good! I will see what my options are. Would I need to hire a welder if I choose steel?
 
i would just use 2x4 and 4x4's probably
