It's not a bad start. Perhaps feeding live feeders is cheap, convenient, and most importantly safe for you but in general paroons need not live feeding whatsoever IME.

Should easily reach 6 inches (15cm) in a month if they get enough food.

Wow, I have never had one or known of one grow from 2” to at least 6” in a month even with massive over feeding and huge water changes.
What are you feeding them on?

Anyone know why paroon spit out foods ? trying to adapt new foods ?

For instance your water may be sub par. You know what they say - we keep water, the fish keep themselves.
