2 male bettas together? Success!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
^lmao. seriously if i was to waste my 125 on male bettas..... i would do a community tank plus about 3 male bettas

Thanks to this thread I have decided to try keeping 10 male bettas in my 100g. Maybe even 20 male bettas. And I'm buying them ASAP!

I just shared my lucky circumstance to show that its possible to keep more than one together given the fact you have two non-aggressive males. This is not something I recommend unless you want a bunch of tattered fins, because finding 10 male bettas that won't fight is very unlikely.

If these two start fighting in their new tank, I'll be taking out the red male.

I'm in the middle of switching all of the stock from my 29 gallon to my 50, so I temporarily separated the two, just to be safe. The planted one is the 29, black gravel is the 50

Congrats on 24 hours, but success is not determined really until you have long term results and both fish thrive.

I had several large cichlids in my 8' tank for months before all hell broke lose= fail

I had a Electric Blue Hap in my 6' mbuna setup for almost a year before he died from what was evidently long term stress=fail

Best of luck with them, but IME 24 hours can prove any combo successful.

Well, unfortunately both bettas caught some form of fin rot that disinigrates the fin and rots the body in a matter of 2-3 days... So both are gone :( maybe ill get lucky again one day but for now all of my bettas are separate to hopefully eliminate this disease...
