just picked up a new 210g anyone have a good set of plans for a stand? I made a stand for a 125g thinking bout using the same planes but just adding the extra length needed to fit the tank not sure tho, im not sure if the planes i have would be suitable for the weight of the 210. any suggestions?

thinking about making the top frame out of 2x8's then the bottom frame out of 2x6's. not sure if 2x8's would be over doing it tho. been looking around on the internet and from what i saw a full 210 could weight 2000 to 2500 pounds full.

every 24 inches i believe there should be a middle support. so if your tank is 3 feet then there should be a support in the center. also make sure that you assemble the top rails with the 2 x 6's with the widest part facing front to back so the 6 inches should be facing forward and back words not the 2 inch part. you will get way more strength this way

only picture i could find but its pretty much the same, i used 2x6's for the bottom and top frames, then 2x4's for the 4 corners, and then more 2x6's for middle support. set up just like the corners( not shown in the picture something i added my self).
can some one please take the info in that link and turn it into a sticky.... its the most basic overbuilt stand.
