You mean a piece of pipe where your hand is? If so...get a "t" and take the pipe above the back of the tank a little put a cap on it with a hole drilled in the top just big enough for an air line to go in. You can use the air line or just leave the hole open. Oh put the "t" in place of the elbow where your hand is.
