37 gallon!?!?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
im not gonna get into the hybrid thing but a full grown blood parrot has more body mass than jd, idc what some dumb care sheet at an lfs says a bp definitely needs more than 30 gallons to thrive. sorry if i derailed

SOME type of africans can fit in there. desmoni ( sp errer i know )yellow labs acei ( sp ) and some smaller types should work but make it a specie only tank meaning 1 male and 5 female max ( they will spawn and populate the tank for you )

um a desmoni an a yellow lab would produce babies?

I know someone who grew 9 parrots to full size in a 200 gallon tank and they lived for 10+ years
200 gallon tank is big enough for 9 full grown parrots.. and make your own threads asking any Q or whatnot about parrots and im done derailing this thread.

Screw care sheets, they say they would be fine in a 10 gallon. I'm saying 30 from semi-personal experience, my uncle has 3 in a 75 gallon that are almost 12 inches and are 14 years old at least.

BUT getting off the subject of Blood Parrots, what about a Jewel Cichlid?

nono i mean add one type of smaller african specie to the tank not multiples lol

like 1 male 5 female yellow labs OR 1 male 5 female desmone (spelling errer ) or 1 male 5 female acei. not the 3 species all togther. just one specie

Technically a bp can be kept in a 30, it would be inhumane and cruel but when I was a kid in the early and mid 80s everybody had oscars and jd in 20g tanks and they lived for years. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and do what's right, don't get anything over 6 inches!
