It looks like the dog bit your hand in that photo.Cool project, looking forward to more updates.

Good going!

I understand about the budget but Wednesday's 100% right. You are asking for big problems without a proper liner. And even at that, I'd not trust EDPM rubber but probably would try RPE - reinforced polyethylene, which is also 2x cheaper, 3x lighter and 10x more puncture resistant, e.g., http://www.everything-ponds.com/premium-grade-rpe-liner-for-large-ponds.html

Is this the same stuff but for half the price? http://www.dripworks.com/shipping-pond-rpe

So I wanted to get a liner, and now I have the best reason - there's a leak.

Sure it wasn't from the dog? lol
Sorry to hear, Bro.
Don't they make a patch kit for those pool liners?

no i'm not sure it wasn't from the dog, and yes they do, but stop trying to talk me out of getting a liner! :D
Nah, I'm for the liner, but patch the pool liner as well

If I can find the hole, I definitely will. I've got a patch kit for another pool and I'll have extra liner since it's square compared to the round pool, so I can use the corners as patches too

So plans got sped up a bit. We rescued some koi and had to put them somewhere, so the pond currently has no liner.

It's pretty awesome having 30" fish swim next to your legs.

So the night after we got them, they spawned and have been doing so for a week. So of course we had a huge algae bloom. Well after finally getting it under control, I put up a sun shade.

Next step is a barrel filter. Only have a Laguna 3200 on this, and with 13 koi and about a dozen goldfish, I definitely need something more.
