I have a five gallon tall tank and I want to know what cool fish I can put in it or maybe some saltwater inverts or small fish. I am a pretty experienced fish keeper. Maybe something I can breed

What are the dimensions?
If it’s too tall you may only really be able to do inverts.
Otherwise some oddballs to look into would be smaller gobies or Pygmy sunfish.
For marine I’d only try clown gobies, neon/cleaner gobies, trimma gobies, or the smallest shrimpgobies + candy cane pistol. And even then you’re looking at 1-2 fish maximum.

Pea puffers
chocolate gourami
sparkling gourami
Akysis prashadi/vespa or others of the species
Shrimps
Definitely planted though

Do you have experience with saltwater?

A five-gallon tank...and tall to boot?

If I could be convinced to use such a thing, it would strictly be for Red Cherry or other shrimp, and well-planted with Java Moss. Stability would be important, and it's a difficult goal in such a small container.

Or how about one or two Dwarf African Frogs (Hymenochirus)? Less fragile and susceptible to changes than shrimp.

No experience with saltwater but could I breed shrimp for profit

Absolutely; shrimp breed quickly and usually find a ready market.

Oh...you mean you want to make money breeding shrimp in this tank...a 5 gallon tall tank?

Good luck with that. It's five gallons.

shrimp

I would not recommend salt in that small a container. I had to take of a customer's 20g sea horse tank and even then it was a failure.
