What kind? Red Ear, Cooter or Softshell...soft will be the hardest to get because I have to catch it, thou I usually catch a few when I dont want too, now that I may want one I wont be able to catch one

IMO softshell looks coolest with fish If you can't get one, I'd go for a cooter.

I have a 180 native tank and after a week or 2 i had to take the blue gill out cause they absolutely dominate the food. Like someone said the gar probably wont be able to eat. Maybe someone has different expeirence but my bluegill could eat forever lol
