Is there a way to get rid of the scratches like once a month or week?

no not really. any scratches need to be taken out with an orbital buffer and solution so any scratches on the inside need complete emptying and restoring.

this tank your looking at...be on the lookout for cracks and leaks. they can be harder to spot than on glass. i would insist on filling it with water before you bought it. sounds like a good deal though.

i would recommend acrylic hands down vs. glass. stronger, lighter, safer, clearer. the scratch thing is an afterthought for me.

Scratches can build up, then now and again you can drain to fix. Once glass is done it's done man!
