600 and 280 gallon reset: getting back to my roots

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No problem! It's been about eight years since I had a group of them in a 125 gallon ( alot smaller than your working with ). I had mine with a nicaraguense cichlid male and a couple firemouth cichlids. When a occasional turf war broke out the myrnae would back down to no one lol. Convict like, although as you said I did not have mine with the heavy hitters. They are beautiful fish though.
Got it. Thank you for chiming in brother.

Umbee, tank and tankmates looking 🔥 as always! Looks like they're pleco tolerant too..

I just moved my L600 to my V. bifasciata tank yesterday hoping they'll coexist peacefully.. 🤞

Your scape looks amazing. Subtle and natural. You seem to do a lot of resets, what is the reason?
Thank you. Haven’t done a reset here in a while. Mostly, things simply change and some things work and other don’t. The Festae are gone because the Umbee made it so. He was relentless with them. But he leaves both pairs of Loisellei alone. The gold wolves perished during a heat wave years ago.

The only other big change was the addition of the swords. The valisnera got ratty after I got lax and the water lettuce took over the surface and drowned out the light to the vallisnera. That and the fish were slowly destroying the leaves simply by swimming through them all the time.

They should totally be fine as long as you have enough space. I believe your tank is a large one so you should be good to go. Thank you for the compliments brother!

Amazing, as always.
And as always, very appreciative of you RD. RD.
