As well as convenience for WC, I use constant drip that agitates the water surface, even during a power cut.

I normally use them when collecting fish, with batteries in use out in the field, but once in the car, plugged into a phone charger port.

Those little battery pumps are priceless in an emergency. You can usually find them sold at fishing tackle shops for about half of what they like to charge at aquarium places.

We got ours I believe at Chewy but PetSmart online also carries them. Amazon has them, I never thought about a tackle store. All great information for all fish keepers, we all should have them just in case
