8" male Geophagus tapajos "orangehead"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Now I have to change my avatar:(

Peter, try to feed lots of Krill, Bloodworms, etc just before breeding. This will help condition them to do the "nasty" and take care of the fry. When breeding, they don't eat like normal as you know and this will keep them more active and help with growth rate too.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!:)

Thanks Jamie! I feed them bloodworms every night after two meals of mixed pellets - hope they are not too spoiled :)

Has the German shipment come in yet?

I think Sean has a L114 for sale - did you talk to him? I had one for a while and it was the most beautiful pleco I've ever had...

You can tell the males are older by the orange pattern on their head. It seems to have more jagged lines and edges as opposed to the younger less mature ones I have seen. I have 8 of your fry from Ken right now - hope that turn out that sweet!

I am pumped for you Peter! Those are stunning! Super jelious.....
I just yelled at my fish from the other room to "start looking more like yours". We'll see if it helps... I'll keep ya posted.

Thanks for the kind words. Jamie sure did a fantastic job with these. I'm just enjoying them :D

Great looking fish. One day I'll do a SA tank.

So, is Jamie male or female? I've got to ask, as I always keep an eye out for other guys named Jamie.

LOL male, aka titansfever83 :)

Had the same thought when I first saw your argentea - "one day I'm going to do a CA tank". Did that but couldn't find a female argentea...so the male went back to Ken's....enjoying the bocourti though.

Those are the biggest I've seen, a good 1" larger than all of my males. They look great!
