I think my co-worker has one. Got it off my boss...just heard it was huge thats all haha.

That thing is awesome! I hope mine gets that big, he is only 3.5-4 inches right now.

Sorry, I don't know how old it is, because I have only had it for about two years, in which it has grown about an inch. I do know that these guys live forever. It is in a 120 gallon aquarium and is fairly active, but I don't see it eat much. It hids behind some rocks when the light is on, but a couple seconds after the lights go off, It will be out and about, sometimes swimming as high as the top of the tank. I occasionally hear a buzz every now and then. I have touched him during water changes and the only think I can compare it to is a cell phone on vibrate. The guy that I got it from has actually been pinched by it. He said that it wouldn't let go for a good two minutes. He also said that it "stung" him once, causing his arm to swell up for a day or two. I didn't really know these guys had poison. Overall, Raphaels are great peaceful catfish, but they do get big.

it's 7" SL, but still big. one of the biggest i've seen. nice fish. mine is only about 6" TL and about 3 years old.
