looking good mate, lovely aro he must be quite big as he looks a fair size even in your monster tank, what else you planning on putting in the tank ?

Fine filter foam(the best mech filter on the planet) followed by fluidized K1????

thanks doyboy, same to everyone else too :)

i'm planning on a nice flagtail, Niger cat, a group of small L numbers (dont know sp. yet) in the future a ray, possibly a couple ornate polypterus, geophagus jurapari and maybe a fly river turtle but i dont want it to look over crowded.

nope, sorry pics are arse about face. first chamber Kaldness. then through 50kg Lytag and through lots of jap matting and finally more fine filter foam. there is fine filter foam just before kaldness too. the crap filled filter wool id from a friends tank to help seed the filter. its sitting on a section containing lytag.
Filer wool is the best media on the planet, I use in the return from my nexus(the best filter in the world apparently :ROFL:on the pond), collects all sorts:nilly:.

Seriously thinking about going pond filter style when I build my new tank next year, fluid bed the works.

Great build , an inspiration to the forum.

Superb mate, looking good, that aro's just monster. Small simple stocking sounds great with how the tank looks already, glad it's all worked well for you.

Spent the afternoon and evening getting the glass out of the metal frames from my build ready to use again, nightmare job, got first 2 out in one piece and the thirds just cracked. My pond's finally completely dead.
