nice but what r you using for a substrate
it is a ~50/50 blend of some coconut husk stuff ( in 1st pic below) and peat moss. i got the wrong stuff. it is called eco-??? not eco-earth (which is what i thought i was getting) This stuff is wood chips but from coconut shells. i ended up soaking it in scalding hot water to separate about 1/4 of the brick of stuff and then put it in the blender a handfull or two at a time with very hot water and blended it up into fibers and then strained it and baked it gor about an hour at ~350*. (2nd pic is the blended husks after baking.) it was a PITA to do tho. but i guess she likes it? and im going to use the same stuff when i get my b. emilia so i hope she likes it too...
this is the orginal stuff :irked:

Wow that's a lot of work. I used to get Eco-earth, Forest Bedding all the same stuff, but now with 95 tarantulas I found a product from Menards (a home improvement store with lawn and garden supplies) called Peat Eliminator. It is still coco fibers but in a much larger bag. I usually have a 5 gallon bucket made up of the stuff. It's easy to break up without water for the desert species and for the humidity loving species (Avics) it's easy to add water to make it moist.

By the way nice T. I like Avics myself we have an A. metalica, A. avic, A. versicolor (junvile colors still), A. minatrix, 5 A. purpureas slings. I might get an A. versicolor female showing adult colors for $125. Still not sure.
