The canopy is hanging on by a thread. If I balance it right in the middle, there's about a millimeter clearance on each side. I'm afraid it's going to fall down.

The tank doesn't sit right on the stand either. As you can see, it's not even on the lip of the stand at all on one side. If I push it toward the middle it might help, but still it's obviously not right.

Then they mailed me a board to put under the tank. I guess I'm supposed to drill holes in this plywood board for my sump? This seems like bullshit.

On top of that...the seam along the front of the Eurobrace is a joke. Looking at the portion of it that you show in your first pic, it appears as though about a third of that is not even making contact with the top of the front panel, no adhesion at all.

I would be inclined to add a piece of 1x2 or 2x2 inside each end of that hood, just to support the weight of the hood on the tank more securely. Obviously, you shouldn't need to do this, but...:(

Was it shipped to you or did you pick it up? Return & refund?
What a huge hassle. Nothing worse than not having confidence in a brand new product. Especially one that could flood your house.
I’d appreciate knowing which company so as to avoid them like the plague…

So you're supposed to slide a piece of plywood under the tank to make it work? I guess it was just supposed to sit on the edges of those side plywood panels. That is indeed some BS, the stand and canopy should fit the tank like a glove, and you definitely shouldn't need to modify a new product like this to make it safe to use.

I would go one of a few routes, but all of them would involve demanding a refund or replacement for that stand and canopy. If they replace it it needs to fit better. If they refund you money they might just let you keep the stand anyway in which case the modifications like the plywood panel under and some added lip treatment on the canopy like john said could be good options, but be careful as this course could void whatever warranty the manufacturer has offered pending any further issues with the tank.

Unfortunately some tank manufacturers have downright deplorable ethics and will avoid taking responsibility for their tanks in very shady, slithery ways. Hopefully your situation resolves itself quickly, but if they don't make it right, please blast them full strength here so we know to avoid them.

spitz006 spitz006 it most definitely is BS…so are you gonna let us know who to avoid so we can boycott them?
