A certain company sent me tank/stand combo that doesn't seem to be sized right

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It’s not just the stand though, as jjohnwm jjohnwm pointed out, the seam along the top edge that you pictured is absolute trash. If you paid through a credit card company you could try to get your money back through filing a complaint with them also 🤷🏻‍♂️

spitz006 spitz006 it most definitely is BS…so are you gonna let us know who to avoid so we can boycott them?
could tell it was FTD, been trying to figure out what configuration i was going to order....

the stand hood is clearly wrong... sorry dude 🤦🏻

Hey guys, Monster Fish Keeper here that supports of the truth.

Fish Tanks Direct is selling Fake Tsunami Tanks now and is not connected with or selling any of the OG Tsunami Aquariums aka Aquariums Direct Usa that many monster fish keepers and high profile clients have purchased over the years.

Fish Tanks Direct is fine for their other side of business providing us with other aquarium products, but has gone down a terrible path and has now outsourced the labor and materials using the OG Tsunami Logo and selling these second hand built tanks under false pretenses of the original quality that has been established from the great people and over so many years of hard work over at Tsunami Aquariums aka Aquariums Direct Usa.

No links in this post - Do your own research and please feel free to make your own phone calls to these guys and research before making any large purchased on your tanks.

This is the truth and they are currently is litigation, I am not affiliated with either company only trying to shed light so others are not scammed by a lower quality build from Fish Tanks Direct as in this thread and as others have been slowly reporting on new builds.

At the end of the day, Fish Tanks Direct are idiots for not just creating their own line of tanks and using their own name and logo.

OG Tsunami Aquariums aka Aquariums Direct Asa is still building the quality that we Monster Fish Keepers deserve and expect.

Pardon? You have no affiliation with either company...but your username is AquariumsDirectUSA...and the website in your profile is that of Tsunami Aquariums?

If you have no affiliation with them, you should be careful in case they decide to sue you!

From what I've heard, there's actually some truth to this. When I ordered my 350g from fishtanksdirect a year ago, I had to call them and have them explain to me the difference between their company and acrylicaquariumsdirect, which was also selling tanks under the tsunami brand name at a slightly lower price point.

The story was that an ex-employee of fishtanksdirect had begun selling their own tanks under that name and there was some sort of legal matter up in the air regarding the tsunami name itself. Or something like that.

I don't know how that all turned out but all I do know is the 350g I ordered from tsunami of fishtanksdirect.com turned out beautiful and was delivered in around 5 weeks from ordering. They were great to work with, too, kept me up to date with every step of the process. And I actually got to talk to a human when ordering to confirm my specific customizations. Of course I did not order a stand so I cannot speak for that.

Yeah as everyone else has clearly said... That is some B.S. for sure... Also stated above "they both should fit like a glove" and I personally wouldn't modify it until, my friend that is the very last resort, after exhausting all options for refund or replacement are gone. Then from what I see the hood could be very easily be modified with what another person said, "attaching a 1x2 or 2x2 strip of wood" installed exactly where the hood needs to be properly supported when a fixing to the top rim to support the sides, to correct their apparent negligence. Now the piece of plywood set on the stand to correct their inability to use a tape measure correctly is an option to be considered. However, you as the customer should have been made aware of this flaw prior to purchase. If not, then that shouldn't be your responsibility to correct right off rip. Maybe only as an option for consideration after exhausting your resources & communication for replacement or refund is finished. If bought brand new from any reputable company or custom builder this bullshit shouldn't be reality nor your worry or stress... IN MY HONEST OPINION
