About Venting sexing male female

bump...i might vent my two biggest bass.
they are from the same batch...about 7-8"...and show many differences.
i'd like to find two males and two females then sell the rest....
imma try to find something to knock the fish out first.
any suggestions?
 
I would just net them.. Let them settle down for a few seconds.. Then flip them over and vent ;)

You could use bag buddies I guess.. SOme use clove oil.. But you have to do that carefully... There are other tranqs... I haven;t used them..

do you use anything to sedate them?
or just net them out and try?
i wanted to do that...but was scared of the fish trashing around and getting hurt.
 
This should be a sticky , and there should also be a sticky on juvenile pbass identification . They are the two of the most asked questions on the forum .

There must be 10 .. " sex my pbass " and 10 .." ID my pbass " threads posted a week ..if not more.

I don;t do anything except net em ;) I wait a few seconds.. Sometimes about 30-60 secdonds.. they settle dwon.. And then I vent em ;)

i will net them out and vent the 2 biggest this sunday when i do a water change.:D
