heterolepis??? Not even sure what they look like. New one on me. Not to many good photo online when I search that species and very little info[/QUOTE I've kept at least 6 different species of these fish. They are very hard to ID, most with very subtle differences. Your fish look similar to ones sold to me as heterolepis. Like I said, could be falcirostris. Falcirostris grow really fast and lose black stripe over time. These fish are underrated predators and a joy to keep if given proper space. After obtaining so many of these fish, I learned that even wholesaler doesn't know what they are.
