  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
And in my defense I am enjoying the tank but at the current moment in time I’m waiting on some large artificial plants (they look pretty good) to place behind my pyramid. I like my pyramid !

And as they begin to pair off, I’ll select which ones I like to keep divide the tank up and hopefully soon have a few breeding pairs of discus.

How long does it take for them to pair off?

Those frogs only need a 5-10 my uncle kept 3 huge ones and they did well make sure to have lid or you will have dried up frogs on the ground. i use to have one they get large sadly he jumped out and dried up.

Hmm. I’d keep them in my sump atleast if knew they would do ok at a water temp of 84f?

I do not believe they need a heater I kept mine at room temps. Id recommend getting a 10 gallon. The high temps will affect the frog do not do it. I also read the water should not be deeper then a foot so they can get to the surface easier.

Please excuse me as this may sound rude, but

are you just trying to plug this place in Miami for some reason? Affiliated?

Which nothing wrong with that, I've seen the store and you got yourself some lovely discus but spamming the board with pics and plugs is a little silly.

And again I may be way off but I just find it hard to believe that in your first post you are bragging about how easy the discus are to keep, and talking parameters and tank setup -pro setup at that- went to a premiere place to get specialized fish - top dollar fish at that. (Clearly someone is not new to the hobby and has some knowledge)

Yet the last few posts you seem completely clueless about basic things related to the same setup. And the only common denominator in all your recent threads are the insane amount of pictures followed by a plug?

Sorry if this sounds rude, it just seems odd to me

Wow this is actually happening right now. I’m amazed I’m even explaining myself right now. But here it goes since you've made quite the assumption....

No, growing up as a kid I always read about Jack Wattley, I have been in the hobby since I could walk and I always admired him. He taught me so much growing up. Now living all the way in Miami from Texas I had a chance to go to his store which I was very excited about.. and I did so. Sadly he had passed away but I got some amazing advice and product from his partner, so yeah.. I’m saying so. Call it what the hell you want honestly ‍♂️I’m communicating in relation to the aquarium hobby on an aquarium forum and I’m getting *****ed at about it, also AM NOT IN ANY WAY OFFENDED OR TRYING TO BE RUDE TO YOU. And yeah I posted about it. My fiancé and I purchased all of our discus from him one by one and I’m so grateful to have them as members of our family.. anyways that’s all I was saying because I was excited about him, dude. I highly suggest you just chill.. like sit back and rely, because everything’s gonna be OK nobody, is promoting a business. I will not repeat myself. I was just saying what this well-known man in the discus world (if you know anything about discus) told me with some helpful advice. And being my first time with this case I am very excited to be having so much success with that, sorry for posting so many pictures I’m in love with my Fish.

My apologies, as I mentioned before it was not my intention to be rude to you. I am happy you're enjoying your fish and after learning more about the backstory it makes sense. I was just making an observation from an outsiders perspective. Without any details and the amount of similar posts , it just seemed... fishy?? Lol

But again. My apologies for making an assumption, and best of luck with your fish :)
