Just trying to figure out what it is whether it is a peacock cichlid female or if it's another type of African Cichlid...

Looks like a female peacock, you'll probably never know which species since all female peacocks look almost identical.

I have another thread where it shows the Fry of hers. It's just so hard to tell since they're small

So I went digging on other forums. And people were posting ID help for a cichlid identical to this one and they were saying either a z rock cichlid or a sulfur head. Anybody here think those two could be it?

I attended a talk by an expert on the peacock types, who collects them himself in Africa.
He said unless you know provenance, or location capture points, it is (as james99 said) impossible to tell females apart.
He always keeps his wild caught peacocks in separate tanks, due to the difficulty in IDing once combined, and the probability of hybridization if allowed to be mixed.
Unless you received yours from a breeder who also keeps strict controls, and separation, any name suggested will only be a wild guess.

Sighs* that sucks.. So what about her fry? When they mature and show colors would it be possible to know what the mother might be?
Because the father of the Fry is a peacock Cichlid orange body blue face,.

Z rock females would have a few spots down their side, sulfur head is a generic name used pretty much to describe anything with a yellow blaze, both pure fish and some of the mixed up mutts that are popular is petstores.

Even knowing who the father is won't help with the female, since hybrids can look completely normal like either parent or a mix of both.

Sorry for late reply.
She actually show 2 black spots and her bars when she's mating, if that's of any significance?
