Sorry for lack pf updates, to be honest this tank has just been left alone and enjoyed now. Anubias continues to flourish. I'm just letting the SA fish live out their lives in it, then I'll reintroduce African Riverine fish back in to make it a biotope again. Hope you enjoybthe photos.
So after almost 2 years of this setup, I've decided to give it a new lease of life and intend on doing a more heavily planted Africa biotope. Still plan to keep the anubias covered tree stump.. but now surround it.
A light upgrade from 32 LEDs to 44 and 9kg of tropica aquarium soil to replace the sand. Standby for updates in the future!
So an update for you all. Some imagination is needed for once the Vallisneria Spiralis takes hold... it has stopped melting and is now sending out new leafs and I've even seen one runner. The tiger lotus bulb isn't doing quite as well though.
My aim is to have a Vall jungle surrounding the anubias covered stump. I've added some blue cherry shrimp and blue ramshorn snails to help with the cleanup. Both seem common in many dense planted setups... so I thought, why not.
