Unfortunely they do that... henleis came from Tocanthins and leopoldis came from Xingu... There's no described rays from Tapajos and no even a cf. to have a similar fish to compare.... They exported P14 and Pearl before and they didn't have any problems... The quotas system is not recent, before the ban, the rays exportation worked with the same system and the same species. And on that time they already did this... The Ibama banned the rays not because exporter did thing like that, the reason was a long dry season that killed thousands of rays in 2003... Now the rays are overpopulated(Some people in north said, not me, I just can prove that the motoros and falkneris are overpopulated in Paranas river)... To make things worse, all the construction of the Dams(at Xingu, Tocanthis and Tapajos rivers) are going to increase the population of the rays... Same people here are saying that the only reason that Ibama liberate the rays is because of the Plecos ban, so they have to did that to not damage the local fishermans .....
