IMHumbO you'll be lucky to rehome it for free. Channel catfish grow to 2.5'-3' in captivity and are way too big for 99.999% of fish tanks people own, they eat a ton, they are not lookers, they are not popular with peers mostly kin on keeping exotics, they are a dime a dozen when/if they are available, they can be caught by almost anyone in the USA if they wanted them for their pond, etc.

Realistically, if you wanna do right by the animal, rehome it to someone who can take care of it if you can. You will not likely get anything for it.

I know the details about what the fish go for and what not trust me on top of the 100 other people I have keep telling me the same thing the fish was a RESCUE was beaten up in the last tank it was in I got it helped it get better and now she doesn't get along with 1 of my fish it's not that I can't care for it cause I can it comes down to a fish I rescued and helped get better then when I got it or a fish I paid very big money to that this fish isn't getting along with if your interested come take her today man this is what I do I rescue fish that need help help them and if I can't physically keep them ill find new homes for them
If you have a pond and are interested let me know so it can go to a someone who can keep it not trying to have it to go someone who is going to put it in a small tank and not know what they have
