albino reed fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have seen 1 pic of an albino reed fish, and I believe it was owned by Wes of Rare Fish.

Extremely rare, doubtful you'll find one soon. The reality is though that albinos are popular and fish farms know this.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before albino ropes are commonly available. Just the way 'platinum' bichir prices are coming down, and are available here and there.

OOOO wow o wow o wow! NICE cohazard youre a true Polypterus fan!!!

Wish it were mine :(

The one wes had was the only one I've ever seen also. To my knowledge, there haven't been any others in captivity.

I asked Wes about it and he said that there have been others, but they're not being cultivated.

Would be nice to see a group of albinos weaving in and out of the plants in a planted tank :)

Oh.
It would be awesome to have an albino rope.

It's funny how a lot of people rave about P.b.bichir, because it's soooo rare, yet it's only 'rare' in countries ouside Japan. They're farming them over there and have tank loads of them

Albino ropes and albino ornatipinnis are seriously rare.
