That's actually a Yellow-striped Mud turtle (Kinosternon baurii)
Are you sure I looked at both of these species when she brought the turtle home and decided musk due to the lack of stripes along shell as well as the markings and shape of the head and shell I hate to argue someone who knows about something when I don't but I'm sticking with common musk as its species due to outside scorces.

LOL well NOW i'm not sure haha Good eyes. I'll have to re-look that one. Forget that statement about questioning, if someone knows their stuff , I question everything.....idc who the source is. ;)

you're right, it does look more like the stinkpot.......At 1st look, It looked more like a mud, but at a closer examination, they are indeed almost entirely physically identical. Rigid carapace shoulda been a dead giveaway probably. I guess i'm getting rusty these days :(

Omg ju
adults can do well together gust watch them. you sound very optimistic with your 3D background plans I would love to see some pics when you get it done.

I understand what you mean about a "pretty weird" turtle I've got this common snapper that doesn't bother with live fish unless its sick or dying.

P.S yes he is that pink and no it is not a trick of the light.
