Amphilophus Chancho

OP, nice looking female. This is hands down my favorite species. Big, brutal, and beautiful. Your's is sweet.

I hope you don't mind if I share some pics of my male. Maybe others can do the same - this is a great species and you don't see many keeping them here. I'm always using the fry for feeders - can't give them away. If you want Amphilophus, don't mess around - go chancho.

baldtaxguy- Thanks for sharing those pics, I agree they are one of my favorite amphilophus, and your male is very nice :) how big is he? I have heard the males can get up to 20" or so but have never seen one quite that big

Thanks. He's about 14 inches. I did not raise him, but he is young enough where its possible he may add a couple more inches. He is easily the single most aggressive fish I have kept and my absolute favorite. I'm growing out one of his spawns so that I can keep this fish for as long as I keep fish. Species come and go - not this one.

Wait, now i find out that you have fry??? i would have taken some.
 
I try to make the GCCA events and I always have fry. lmk
