Amphilophus Lyonsi?

All of my experiences with Lyonsi is that they are a relatively peaceful, even passive, fish. I havent kept one over 4", though. I'm sure if you added a smaller one to the group you have now, they would be sure to leave your JD's and GT alone.

I had a "trio" of Lyonsi in a 1000g tank for a while and they were completely peaceful. Sometimes a little chasing between each other, but nothing more. I think they were about 8-10" when I re-homed them. Some of their tank mates included cichla, A. sagittae, a breeding pair of P. bifasciatus, salvini, oscars, H. psitticus and a large Fossorochromis rostratus that I adopted. Very personable fish and very pretty.

had a breeding pair male about 10 inch female 8 inch, my male was aggressive bite my hand on water changer, glass banging. would turn on any fish he thought was big enough to challenge him. but i could put grow out in his tank and he would ignore them till thay hit 5 to 6 inch.
