Angelfish with gold gourami?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with keeping Angelfish with Gold Gourami. I have two powder blue dwarf Gouramis which are nipping the fins of my angels, and specially the vailtail variety and I was thinking about trading them for one Gold Gourami. I never seen anything writen about gouramis that says they are fin nippers, so I was wondering if it's only my dwarf gouramis that do this or is it general for this species? Any input is appreciated

Beleive it or not all the gouramis I kept with angels nipped there fins. Only ones that left them alone were my 9 inch snakeskin gouramis. Maybe because of their size ( 2 at 9 inches) they ignored the angels because they didn't see them as a threat.

well i never had that problem, my angels (x2) chased my golden gourami when it wasn't hiding in the decor, looked like the 50g was to small for the both of them.. so the angels are in the 20g haha ><

My Golden doesnt bother any of my other fish in the 50g never seen it nip fins, leaves my Clown knife alone and its smaller

I believe its natural for angel fishes.

try it and have a plan b ready who knows u might have a peaceful fish or a killer

I could try it. The plan B would b taking it back to the LFS, but I have a feeling the store guy is gonna strangle me if I return one more fish lol. Thnx everyone. I think I might skip on the idea till some other time.
