b. bagarius is pretty tame and could be place with other fishes. b. yarelli you can not.DrZacharyus;1072350; said:so are the b. bagarius just like an exact copy of the yarelli just only getting 8-10". teeth and all?
thanks...I actually have a 19" yarrelli that I have had for a long time now in with the peacock bass...he is quite an oddball as he has been in an 86*F tank for over 2 years and eats like a pig...doesnt bother anyone unless they get close(keep in mind though all the fish are 20+ inches with him)...my new 18" yarrelli is quite a different story though and very aggressive. As for B. Bagarius which I have kept in the past...are very placid and mild mannered...they look like a miniature yarrelli, but can be kept with other fish very safely...my old b. bagarius was maxed out around 9" and was actually in a community set-up where he didnt bother anybody....yarrellis are normally very mean and cant be trusted with anything smaller...I believe the only reason my big one is ok wiith others is due to the fact everyone is bigger than him....my 18' yar is by himself untill he settles down.shoefreak03;1072532; said:b. bagarius is pretty tame and could be place with other fishes. b. yarelli you can not.
